The Olowo of Owo and Paramount Ruler of Owo Land, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr) Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye-III, has congratulated Christians and the people of Owo Land in general, on the celebration of this year’s Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ.
Oba Ogunoye, in a Press Statement, signed and released by his Special Assistant Media, Sam Adewale, pointed out that, the presence of Almighty God who sent Jesus Christ to the world to cleanse the iniquities of the people, will not depart from every household in the land.
The monarch added, Christmas season which has been a unique period in the lives of the people, symbolizes love, truth, steadfastness, tolerance, humbleness, togetherness and unity of purpose, all formed the tenets as propagated by Jesus Christ, which must be the watchword of every adherent of the kingdom at this period and always.
As Oba Ogunoye wishes everyone happy celebrations just as he admonishes to celebrate in moderation.
In conclusion, Kabiyesi prayed for peace, progress and development of the land, wishing the people merry Christmas and prosperous new year in advance.
