The Olowo of Owo,Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III has in the light of the new year celebration feted the people of the kingdom.
Oba Ogunoye said he decided to fete the people as a way of showing appreciation for their loyalty, support since he mounted the stool of the Olowo and for allowing peace to reign in the town.
The monarch also thanked the people for rallying round the Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, during the last Governorship Election in the state which he said culminated in the resounding victory of the governor in the election which was a prelude to his (Akeredolu) second term as the governor of the state.
Similarly the Olowo charged youths in the town to shun cultism and embrace the state government's projects aimed at youth emancipation and empowerment.
Meanwhile members of the public that benefited from the royal feast described the initiative as first of it kind in the annals of history of the kingdom even as they shower praises on the monarch.
A cow each was given to all the 11 Wards in the kingdom while Interest groups, Trade Unions, Media Practitioners, Clubs, Chiefs and Non-indigenes also benefit.
